Learning in former times

When children learned about Erich Kästner and his book "When I was a little boy" they went to our local schools museum. A former teacher told them lots of stories about learning in the last centuries. The children were sitting on old wooden chairs at old wooden desks. All furniture is taken out of old schools. The teacher showed the children the learning rules in those times. It was very interesting to them.
By the way. Our class 2a was the 10 000th guest in this little museum. There was a huge article in our local news.
