It's Halloween time in Rodari School

In our school in this period there is a special tradition, a much awaited moment by all students.
The children prepare a pumpkin and they decorate with fantasy using any material.
Then the kids bring their pumpkins at school for the exbition. In the morning every student vote for their favourite and in the afternoon we are together for the final prize.
One teacher tells the legend of Jack and the lantern. At the end  rewards the most liked pumpkin.
It's scared....and very funny! Happy Halloween!

Famous childrens books- exhibition VIII

"The little prince"
Our 9 years old children in class 3a read this very famous childrens book written by Antoine de Saint- Exupery. First they went to the cinema and watched the last movie version of  the little prince. They enjoyed the cartoon story.
In the project week they created own booklets, boardgames, lapbooks and a powerpoint presentation about the book.
This part of the exhibition was shown for one week in front of our local cinema to the public.

Famous childrens books- exhibition VII

"The gruffalo"
Thanks to our Spanish friends for ideas about the Gruffalo last autumn and Miguel in March! There are lots of materials available for this very nice stories.
Our pupils in class 4b, aged about 10 years prefered to produce a cartoon. It was the first time we've tried to use characters out of plastic dough. It's not so easy because you need a wire skeleton inside to make them robust.
The children did the same steps like in "The big word factory". But the photographes are taken from the front. When the cartoon is uploaded in youtube, you all can see the German and the English version of it.
The 10 years old boy and girls also went to their partner class, aged 7 years and did a presentation about the story. The younger ones also showed their drawings and textes.
In our exhibition we can see the scenery, the characters, some photographs taken during the set, ...
