Gloria Fuertes.

Gloria Fuertes was born in 1918 in Madrid, Spain, where she lived most of her life. She published 15 books of poetry and 34 children´s books before her death in 1998. She became particularly well-known after her collaborations on children´s TV shows. In her work, seh defended equality between men and women, pacifism, and the fight for the environment. With the centenary of her birth in 2017, the recognition of her role in Spanish poetry as a shole during the 20th century have increased greatly.

Today the students of first grade have heard stories, riddles ...

In the pictures you can see Mrs. Pilar del Teso telling a story titled

The Weepy Fish

I share with you my own translation of one of the poems by Gloria Fuertes that I like the most:

Con todo se puede hacer algo.
Hasta con un cero
- que parece que no vale nada - :
se puede hacer la Tierra,

una rueda,

una manzana,

una luna,

una sandía,

una avellana.

Con dos ceros

se pueden hacer unas gafas.

Con tres ceros,

se puede escribir:

yo os quiero

Something can always be done out of anything.
Even with a zero,
-that seems to be nothing-:

You can make the Earth,
a wheel,
an apple,
a moon,
a watermelon,
a hazelnut.

With two zeros
you can make a pair of glasses.

With three zeros,
one can write:
y0 0s quier0-I love you-.

Thank you very much, Pilar!

Lots of comics

When we bought the story starter sets from Lego education we downloaded the simple software for creating comics. The children enjoyed making stories with photos, paintings, lego, playmobile, SCHLEICH,...... They did their own sets, took photos and:

The travel route of the little prince

Grit Meßerschmidt

The planet of all together and the roses

Look at the "planet of all together" the children created together with the older pupils. There is a balloon inside of the planet of papermache. Can you spot the prince, the rose, the snake,....?
Here are the beautiful roses (drinking straws and crepe paper):

Puppet theatre

One class has made puppets and played the story of the little prince in front of different backgrounds- mountains, football stadium, own town,.... They also have taken a video of the puppet story "The little prince".

Spinning theatre

You make a small theatre with curtains. At the right and left side there are spools. When you spin the spools the movie is going on.

Creating own planets- drawing circles- painting with pencils, water coulors, computer(paint),...

Creating and writing about an own planet with things I like.

Teachers of tomorrow

Making a cartoon about the story around the "Little prince" we've organized a project learning over one week. All pupils aged 6-11years have dealed with the book. Weeks before 17years old pupils from the school next to read the book by themselfes and told the story to our little children. They together were wondering about the highlights of the story and the media they want use to create an own story. The older pupils supported the whole week learning project. They worked together with the teacher and acted as a teacher themselfes. So they got a view onto the other side of learning. They enjoyed it. They also brought lots of own ideas. Once they'll become a teacher. :-) Thank you, young folk!

The big word factory

Since our visit in Clermon- Ferrand I've been reading this nice childrens book with the pupils. They like it very much, too. And they like the cartoon made by our children last February.
When we've discussed about Paul and Marie and the real good words, I ask the children to create their own word factory with lego (LearnToLearn). They write their favourite words on stripes and enjoy this activity.

Here is the youtube-link for the cartoon:

The Sword of Pendragon

THE SWORD OF PENDRAGON
FIRST EPISODE
Primary School “Ignoto Militi”
Saronno - Italy

King Magnus is in the castle

He is sad because people have no food.

The dragon is outside the castle.

King Magnus and Wizard Lucian are talking about what can they do.

At the castle there is Princess Miranda, too. She looks at a picture and she inquires after it.
Twelve years ago the dragon kidnapped the king's son. She is very sad about the prince.

Princess Miranda can hear the king and his wizard; they read there is a magic sword in the North of England: the Sword of Pendragon.

But there is a problem: only the hands of the  King's son can pull out the Sword of Pendragon.
Miranda can get the Sword.

That night she leaves the castle.
