June The Bear Educational Theatre, a theatre which supports English teaching by
producing interactive educational performances and workshops, visited our city.
The primary school pupils – grades 4, 5 and 6 had an opportunity to see “Love
in the Jeans
Department” - an interactive story which helps young learners of
English learn and practice basic grammar and vocabulary. The story is
about two teenage girls, Jo and Sam, who are best friends. Their friendship becomes
complicated when Sam falls in love with a boy who sells her some jeans, and Jo
becomes jealous. The teaching side of the show concerns functional language
connected with shopping and making offers.
Our students enjoyed the shows very much. They especially liked the
possibility to hear native speakers as well as the chance to take an active
part in the show.
