One kilometer walk

In year 3 our children learn about the numbers until 1000 and meters and kilometers. For getting to know how far one kilometer is, we went with a map, a meter counter, a step counter and a navigation device exactly 1 kilometer. All hundred meters we stopped and took a picture.
