Animals and their livingplace

After the idea of this blog, we tried to build the places, where animals live. We used the "Story Starter". The children had a lot of ideas, what is necessary for the animals and what is given by the humans.
Afterwards we translated the names into Englisch and French and labeled all the necessary things. Quite a lot fun. Thanks Maide.

How to have pets responsibly.

Today, the 1st grade pupils have had a very special class: a workshop on how to have pets responsibly.

We were allowed to see and touch some pets:

We have asked a lot of questions...

We have thought about the different types of animals (wild, domestic, farm), their differences and their needs

And they have taught us the responsibilities of having a pet, as well as their needs, such as taking them to the vet...

In the following picture you can see that some pets need more care than others. Having a dog is a big responsibility!

Thank you very much!

World Animal Day

As we celebrate World Animal Day, our students took part in a show called  Dog - a man's best friend.
During the show our students told us that animals also have rights and that they should be protected. They also presented some poems and sang many songs related to the topic. All these are famous works of our Polish poets and singers so the audience could sing along.
We could also watch an amazing animals slideshow.
