In Year 5 we are working with the book "Flat Stanley" (Thanks to your post Virgine!). We are working with it in different subjects. In one of the chapters Flat Stanley becomes a kite and he flies over a park. My pupils created with LEGO bricks what they thought there could be in the park, and then they had to draw it as Stanley saw it from above. Here is the result:
I did this activity with two classes, with the first one I just told them to create whatever they wanted, so they created really difficult objects that were very difficult to draw so, when I did it with the other class, I advised them to make simple objects.
