Tom Sawyer - reading.

Children love books and stories that is why we do not forget about it during English lessons. This time with 3 graders we read "Tom Sawyer". The kids enjoyed it very much and after reading they created the pictures involving either their favourite character or story whereas some of them decided to draw new adventures of Tom and his friend Huck.

Our Sixth Transnational Meeting is coming soon: Gera, Germany.

"Life is not the passing of time. Life is a collection of experiences..."

Very soon we are going to see each other again...

Social Science: Landscapes.

Students in 3rd grade built with Lego different landscapes and they explained to each other the landforms: mountain, plateau, river… And, of course, they didn’t forget natural disasters as volcanoes or human action on environment with factories and pollution!

Cassini´s Grand Finale.

Time ago in class we talked about the Solar System. Nothing that I did, explained or used in class stirred the minds of my little students as intensely as this video of NASA, today, explaining the exploration mission of the space probe CASSINI. The Grand Finale of this remarkable mission will take place next September. It will be the end of a great journey that began 20 years ago ...

This is how Earth looks from Saturn (this is the image NASA used to commemorate EARTH DAY). Truly awesome.

Second CLIL movie

We work hard conducting CLIL lessons and using Lego in our school. Here is the second short film presenting our work:

Thinking about mass and volume.

Why does a small rock sink into the water and a fully loaded gigantic aircraft carrier floats without sinking?
This morning we imagined, using LEGO BUILD TO EXPRESS, how scientists work in their labs, what questions they ask themselves when they are working...

Lego More to Math: The Snake.

Different challenges, more and more complicated. The goal is to build a snake with the same length and shape as the one shown in white on the right side of each statement. Really motivating and demanding.
The activity was carried out by first graders.
